Jim and Zetta met through mutual friends during the summer of 1956. They were engaged in December of 1956, and then married May 5, 1957. On their honeymoon, they went to Las Vegas, Disneyland (it had been open only two years), Tijuana, and then back up through Reno where they visited Zetta's family.
They started their life together in New Plymouth then moved to Mountain Home followed by Payette. In 1962 they moved to Emmett where they stayed until 1974 when they relocated to Boise. For the past thirteen years they have made their home in Eagle.
Jim and Zetta are blessed with six children, 13 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Jim and Zetta don’t wait for special occasions to make their memories together. They believe every day is a memory in the making. Jim and Zetta's time with each other and their family has always been especially important to them because regardless of what happens in life, they will always have their memories. The Wood family philosophy has always been that “WHEN IT’S TIME TO GET TOGETHER, IT’S TIME TO GET TOGETHER.”
They both agreed early on in their marriage that they would take the time to vacation together. Jim and Zetta didn't want to wake up one day and not know each other. One of their favorite vacations spots is Hawaii, as you will see in the picture gallery. They have also enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, cruises to the Caribbean, Europe, Alaska, Mexico and Panama Canal and their many journeys in their motor home.

He moved to Idaho in 1950 with his family who bought and managed a motel and gas station in New Plymouth. | | Zetta was born in Leadville, Colorado on September 27, 1936. Her father was in the logging business which took them to (Sparks, Nevada, 1941. She moved to Weiser, Idaho in 1948 where her family owned and operated a farm. | | Vickie was born in Weiser, Idaho on February 16, 1958. She currently lives in Boise with her husband and two children. | | Gary was born in Mountain Home, Idaho on October 3, 1959. He currently lives in Meridian with his wife and the youngest four of his five children. | | Tammy was born in Ontario, Oregon on November 19, 1961. She currently lives in Boise with her husband. | | Sandie was born in Emmett, Idaho on June 4, 1965. She currently lives in Eagle with her husband and two children. | | John was born in Emmett, Idaho on March 16, 1967. He currently lives in Yuma, Arizona. | | Theresa was born in Emmett, Idaho on July 2, 1968. She currently lives in Boise with her two children. |
